We're always looking for ways to make the professional photographer's life easier, so more time can be dedicated to creating beautiful photography, while as much of the hard work as possible takes care of itself. The motorised Expan system provides a convenient and simple way to operate and adjust studio backgrounds, using remote controlled motors that suspend, raise and lower up to 10 canvas or paper backgrounds at a time. So when you're behind the camera testing background effects, or have the perfect photograph framed and want to finalise a few variants, you won't be continually walking backwards and forwards across the studio to haul the backgrounds up and down.
Backgrounds are quickly interchanged in their holders and you can automatically set each background's high and low positions, then smoothly and easily roll from one to the other with a press of a button. Alternatively, use the manual roll up/down features for different positioning and fine adjustment. And when you've finished shooting, tidying the backgrounds out of harm's way is a touch of a button. The motorised Expan system is modular and... as its name suggests... expandable to fit the growing size of your studio.
A few usage tips:
- we recommend the use of Alu Core pole (code 047-2, 047-3) in combination with Expan motorised set to better support rolls. To keep rolls taught, use the B/P counterweight (code 062-2)
- the Expan system can be used not only with standard paper rolls, but with all different dimension rolls
