Manfrotto Launches the World’s First Monopod with Fluid Cartridges
Amsterdam, The Netherlands (8 September 2006) Manfrotto, the world’s leading manufacturer of photographic and video support products, has revolutionized the landscape of the video industry with the introduction of the world’s first monopod with fluid cartridges. The 560B Fluid Monopod brings portability and quality video together with its lightweight, stable and fluid design, allowing for smooth panning and image capture in any environment. Designed for compact mini DV and HDV cameras, the 560B Fluid Video Monopod, which will be featured at this year’s IBC, is highly portable and offers fold up stainless steel feet for additional stability on uneven ground.
With the 560B Fluid Video Monopod, Manfrotto allows videographers to produce smooth images even in tight spaces or environments where a tripod may not be allowed, such as sports stadiums public parks and museums. The 560B Fluid Monopod provides the stability and quality of a traditional stabilizing device with a fluid base that delivers superior images. The fluid base provides soft movement for smooth and jump-free pans or tilts.
The 560B Fluid Monopod is lightweight yet tough. For additional stability on uneven ground, the monopod features three stainless steel knobbed feet, which also fold for compact transportation. At the base, a pivot allows for more extensive tilt capabilities and a fluid cartridge offers smooth and flawless panning. Its easy lock-off knob secures the current angle setting for angle consistency and stability. The 560B reaches maximum heights of 166cm/65.3in and folds down to a compact 66cm/26in.
For Manfrotto, NAB 2006 was a huge success, and is proud to announce that the revolutionary 560B Fluid Monopod came out on top as “Best of Show,” winning Videography Magazine’s 2006 Vidy Award. The 2006 Vidy Awards were presented during NAB in recognition of outstanding achievement in the advancement of the art and science of video technology.
