MDeVe tripods are the ideal MiniDV, DV8 or lightweight HDTV camera support, combining the panoramic levelling half-ball of professional video tripods with the compact structure of the photographic tripod. The built-in levelling half ball is located at the top of the extendable center column, and locked and unlocked using the grip twist at the bottom of the column. Because the head attachment plate is flat with a standard 3/8" screw, any flat-based head can be mounted on an MDeVe - be it a fluid video head, a photographic three-way, ball or pano head such as Manfrotto's 303PLUS.
