anti-rotation leg sections
Anti-rotation tubing and leg collars make for a tripod (or monopod) that's easier and faster to open, position and close. Manfrotto uses several different types of anti-rotation system: on Magfiber and Digi series tripods, the elliptical or three-faceted shape of the concentric tubes means they cannot rotate, while on round-tubed tripods small protrusions down the length of the tube keep sections perfectly aligned |

q-r camera plate 410pl
The 410PL quick release plate system offers a broader footprint ensuring a large stable point of contact between camera and plate, which improves stability with larger heavier camera equipment. The sliding screw adapts to the precise configuration of the camera. |
|
rapid centre column
'Rapid' centre columns are fast and easy to unlock and adjust. However, a fully extended centre column tends to reduce the rigidity of an otherwise stable tripod, so the centre column should normally be used only for fine tuning height or for extreme situations where the extra reach compensates the slight reduction in rigidity. |
|
repositionable ratchet lever
A repositionable ratchet means that the locking lever's action will never be blocked either open or closed by interference with the camera body, tripod shoulder, simply pull the lever outwards and it's free to be positioned more comfortably without affecting the locking mehanism. Then you can continue tightening or loosening the knob. |
|
reversible column
Reversible centre column allows head and camera to be mounted below the tripod - useful for: low-level shooting (because it keeps the tripod and your equipment out of the mud); working with heavy loads (because weight lowers the tripod's centre of gravity, making it more stable); and also for use with 'mirror-image' view cameras |
|
separate pan lock
A separate lock on the panoramic axis allows for rotation adjustment or panning to be carried out without losing framing |
|
digi angled foot
The rubber feet on DIGI series tripods are angled for a larger, more stable point of contact with the ground. |
|
digi series
Part of the DIGI series of lightweight, compact supports for small digital point-and-shoot cameras |
|
three axes
Three separate axes of movement - panoramic rotation, front-back tilt and side tilt |
|
three-faceted column
Three-faceted column |
|
three-faceted leg
Leg sections use three-faceted tubing for greater anti-torsional resistance |
|
weight-saving construction
Materials, design and construction techniques have been carefully selected to help save weight without sacrificing stability or strength |
|
low centre of gravity
By keeping the head and camera mounting plate as low as possible, the camera is kept safely closer to the tripod's centre of gravity for more stable support |
