Working with the centre column in the horizontal position on Manfrotto tripod models MDEVE tripod family has always caused a slight difficulty, in that the head remains at 90° to the ground making it more difficult to position the camera correctly for shooting. Now this simple but had the most stable platform possible for filming, and that we could use ever-lighter materials, from aluminum to carbon fibre, to keep equipment weight to the bare minimum. Single tube leg profile made of round-section aluminum or carbon fibre.
