The 756MF3 is the most innovative tripod of the MDEVE series due to the combination of low weight (Carbon Fiber for the legs/Magnesium die casting) and high load capacity materials used for its construction. Its unique, patent-pending aluminum center column construction and precisionmachined red anodized aluminum includes a built-in 50mm leveling ball system locked by a detachable rotating grip built at the bottom of the center column, which allows the camera operator to level the camera and even adjust its height without needing to make micro adjustments to each individual tripod leg. The castings of the 756MF3 are constructed of Magnesium to reduce the weight. The crown design also allows the center column to be horizontally mounted to achieve low-angle or table-top shots.

leg sections use three-faceted tubing for greater anti-torsional resistance anti-rotation tubing and leg collars make for a tripod (or monopod) that's easier and faster to open, position and close. Manfrotto uses several different types of anti-rotation system - on Magfiber and Digi series tripods, the elliptical or three-faceted shape of the concentric tubes means they cannot rotate, while on round-tubed tripods small protrusions down the length of the tube keep sections perfectly aligned flip lever leg locks make opening, positioning and closing fast and easy. The tension of the locking mechanism is user-adjustable, and all parts can be easily serviced or replaced.

solid tripod/head plate has an industry standard 3/8" screw and three angled grub screws which stop the head from unscrewing accidentally in use and also block unwanted panoramic rotation or play between tripod and head

the built-in, carefully hand-set bubble spirit level helps make sure your horizons really are horizontal

materials, design and construction techniques have been carefully selected to help save weight without sacrificing stability or strength Manfrotto's carbon fiber tubing is popular among outdoor photographers because it's light in weight, but not everyone knows it's also more rigid and supports heavier loads than aluminum - giving it a double advantage. lightweight magnesium is used for die-cast parts. Magnesium has a density of 1.74g/cm3 as opposed to aluminum's 2.70g/cm3 - a 35% reduction. Despite its lower weight, magnesium is more rigid than aluminum, and has the same strength per volume.
each of the legs can be set to a different angle of spread for more flexible, versatile positioning and to help keep camera equipment well-balanced over the tripod's center of gravity. the single-tube leg design taken from the photographic tripod helps keep weight and size to a minimum, yet offers ample anti-torsional rigidity and strength for compact videocameras the patented PRO model has a unique design which allows the center column to be used horizontally as an extending arm, or vertically (both right-way-up and upside-down). When used horizontally, it can be turned through 360° around the tripod, and is useful for macro work, low angle shooting, extreme balance points and off-centre work. This also makes the tripod a helpful accessory for chair-bound photographers, who can sit beside instead of behind the tripod, therefore much closer to the camera viewfinder. MagFiber tripods have three pre-set independent leg angles for positioning flexibility and good reach of all intermediate heights between the stated minimum and maximum levels The improved spring-loaded, easy to use step mechanism offers greater stability and security than the CarbonOne push-button system it replaces.
MDeVe tripods are the ideal MiniDV, DV8 or lightweight HDTV camera support, combining the panoramic levelling half-ball of professional video tripods with the compact structure of the photographic tripod. The built-in levelling half ball is located at the top of the extendable center column, and locked and unlocked using the grip twist at the bottom of the column. Because the head attachment plate is flat with a standard 3/8" screw, any flat-based head can be mounted on an MDeVe - be it a fluid video head, a photographic three-way, ball or pano head such as Manfrotto's 303PLUS. In pano/qtvr photography, the levelling ball is also especially useful as it allows for faster tripod setup and more precise pano images.
