SLR cameras with short and/or light fixed-length lenses
A rubber suction cup foot with retractable stainless steel spike. The suction cup increases the footprint of the monopod by almost 20 times, giving much greater stability when needed. The foot can be removed and replaced at will. 676SC2: for monopods 558B, 679 and 680.
The 503HDV has a completely new ergonomic, easy-to-use, functional design; features include large ergonomic locks and knobs allowing for a more solid grip and better control. For enhanced ease of use, the tilt lock and friction controls are located on the left side of the head.It has an improved and adjustable counterbalance capacity: a switch controls the different counterbalance settings, allowing the user to adjust the system to accommodate various payloads for different filming needs. The counterbalance system can be adjusted to four positions ensuring both smoother tilt movements and greater equipment safety. In addition, it has an illuminated levelling bubble - making it easy for shooters to level the camera in low-light conditions. In addition to the old 503, the 503HDV has also a replaceable pan bar rosette.

Specifically designed for extreme outdoor assignments, this tripod uses the same construction as the 055PRO but uses different materials for the legs and all metal parts. Like the 055PRO, the 055MF3 has a three-faceted aluminum center column, which can offset the pressure of the locking system and the torsion caused while in the horizontal position. The legs are constructed of 1.2 mm carbon fiber tube combined with magnesium diecasting, quick-action lever locking collars made of magnesium die-casting. Each leg can be set independently in one of four angle settings using the dedicated quick-action leg angle selector. The top spider is made of magnesium die-casting, and includes the clamping system for the dual position center column plus a built-in bubble level. To assure the best thermal resistance, all parts has been assembled using a proven pressure clamping technology that eliminates failure-prone glue joints for greater durability and in-the-field serviceability. A hand-padded carrying strap, supplied with the tripod, can also operate like a hook to hang weights from in order to increase the stability of the tripod during shoots in extreme wind conditions. It is ideal support for all SLR analog/digital camera equipment, medium format cameras and spotting scopes modified for digiscoping applications. PATENTED..

leg sections use three-faceted tubing for greater anti-torsional resistance anti-rotation tubing and leg collars make for a tripod (or monopod) that's easier and faster to open, position and close. Manfrotto uses several different types of anti-rotation system - on Magfiber and Digi series tripods, the elliptical or three-faceted shape of the concentric tubes means they cannot rotate, while on round-tubed tripods small protrusions down the length of the tube keep sections perfectly aligned flip lever leg locks make opening, positioning and closing fast and easy. The tension of the locking mechanism is user-adjustable, and all parts can be easily serviced or replaced.

split center column allows easy and fast ground-level work

solid tripod/head plate has an industry standard 3/8" screw and three angled grub screws which stop the head from unscrewing accidentally in use and also block unwanted panoramic rotation or play between tripod and head

the built-in, carefully hand-set bubble spirit level helps make sure your horizons really are horizontal

materials, design and construction techniques have been carefully selected to help save weight without sacrificing stability or strength Manfrotto's carbon fiber tubing is popular among outdoor photographers because it's light in weight, but not everyone knows it's also more rigid and supports heavier loads than aluminum - giving it a double advantage.
lightweight magnesium is used for die-cast parts. Magnesium has a density of 1.74g/cm3 as opposed to aluminum's 2.70g/cm3 - a 35% reduction. Despite its lower weight, magnesium is more rigid than aluminum, and has the same strength per volume. each of the legs can be set to a different angle of spread for more flexible, versatile positioning and to help keep camera equipment well-balanced over the tripod's center of gravity. the patented PRO model has a unique design which allows the center column to be used horizontally as an extending arm, or vertically (both right-way-up and upside-down). When used horizontally, it can be turned through 360° around the tripod, and is useful for macro work, low angle shooting, extreme balance points and off-centre work. This also makes the tripod a helpful accessory for chair-bound photographers, who can sit beside instead of behind the tripod, therefore much closer to the camera viewfinder. MagFiber tripods have three pre-set independent leg angles for positioning flexibility and good reach of all intermediate heights between the stated minimum and maximum levels The improved spring-loaded, easy to use step mechanism offers greater stability and security than the CarbonOne push-button system it replaces.
included carrying handle makes the tripod more comfortable to transport and stays conveniently and unobtrusively attached during use
